Fulbright Ranked as a Leading Bond Counsel in SW Region and Texas by The Bond Buyer March 2, 2010
According to the February 9, 2010, issue of The Bond Buyer, which tracked bond issuance trends in the Southwest region during 2009, Fulbright earned a third place ranking on the list of the region’s top bond counsel with deals worth over $6.1 billion. Fulbright also garnered a top three bond counsel spot in Texas, the largest issuer in the region. While Texas’ debt sales accounted for more than all of the other seven states in the region combined, it experienced a 21% drop in volume. The Bond Buyer reports that although 2009 was a year of extraordinary financial distress, Texas issuance began to recover in the second half of the year. The Southwest region includes Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. The bond rankings are based on issues maturing in 13 months or more. |
