Counsel Susan Sample focuses her practice on tax. Susan has extensive experience representing corporations, partnerships, high wealth individuals and estates before the Internal Revenue Service in examination, appeals, penalty and collections proceedings. Her clients include large to mid-sized locally owned businesses, hospitals and other large non-profits, as well as Fortune 100 companies.
In her career, Susan spent time with the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS, where she was designated Special Assistant United States Attorney. She represented the IRS in tax, bankruptcy and foreclosure litigation. She prepared cases for trial and settlement and made recommendations for trial prosecution and for litigation of refund suits. She received the Award for Achievement as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney.

Susan is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. During law school, Susan clerked for Justice Oscar Mauzy of the Supreme Court of Texas. She also spent time as a law clerk with the IRS Chief Counsel National Office.
