Kenneth Komoroski, partner-in-charge of Fulbright's Pittsburgh office, has been elected as chairman of the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO), effective as of July 1.
ORSANCO is an interstate commission controlling water pollution for the Ohio River and representing the federal government and eight states, including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
Komoroski was appointed to the Commission in 2003 by former President George W. Bush and has also served as Commission vice chairman, secretary-treasurer and chair of the Pollution Control Standards Committee. Before pursuing a law degree, he attended Penn State where he specialized in water and wastewater treatment and received a B.S. in Environmental Engineering.
Komoroski has an active oil & gas and environmental practice, in which he represents producers of oil and gas and pipeline companies in a variety of areas including land use and zoning, permitting, environmental, water usage, wastewater treatment, litigation and local ordinances. He also represents steel, chemical, wood treating, coke and other manufacturing industries in environmental matters.
