The International Law Firm of Fulbright & Jaworski - Energy
May 10, 2011
Fulbright's 8th annual half-day energy conference focused on two re-emerging markets that have significant potential to impact the energy marketplace for years to come. Iraq seeks to return to its position among the world's largest energy producers following years of rebuilding. The other is re-emerging with the aid of technological evolution – unconventional resources within the United States.
Both are drawing great interest from multi-national investors. Our distinguished guest speakers and panelists analyzed the risks and potential rewards of these two very different markets. We will also briefly highlighted recent legislation affecting global energy companies, specifically the U.K. Bribery Act 2010 and the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
