The Power Practice Group at Fulbright presents an interactive web seminar that provides insight and analysis on the EPA air emission regulations with the greatest potential to impact the development of new power projects and the expansion or repowering of existing facilities in the United States. The presentation will include a general discussion of the trend away from coal and examples of project developments in Texas, which serves as a bellwether of the nation as a whole due to its size and interest in diversified energy projects. The regulations and updates on associated litigation will include:

• Final Maximum Achievable Control Technology Standards for coal- and oil-fired electric utility steam generating units and New Source Performance Standards for fossil fuel-fired electric utility steam generating units;
• Proposed Greenhouse Gas New Source Performance Standards for new electric utility generating units (and potential standards for existing units);
• Final New Source Review and Title V Permits for new and existing industrial facilities that emit Greenhouse Gases; and
• Final Cross-State Air Pollution Rule.

The seminar also covered the impact of the changing regulatory environment on project development and financing.
