Courtney Slatten Katzenstein serves as counsel in the firm's Corporate Department, where her practice is focused on corporate bankruptcies and reorganizations, representing debtors, creditors and trustees across a range of industries.  Courtney offers clients extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation, including preparation and argument of motions and briefs before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts in the Eastern District of Texas and the Southern District of New York and pro hac vice in other Federal courts.  Early in her career, Courtney served as clerk to The Honorable Henry A. Mentz Jr., United Stated District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Ms. Katzenstein received a B.A. in French in 1983 from the University of Virginia and a J.D. in 1986 from Tulane Law School. She was admitted to practice law in New York in 1987 and in Texas in 1998.
