The $196 million project will provide a long term water solution for the City of Midland.
• Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) was chosen as The Bond Buyer's 2012 Deal of the Year for the Far West Region, for its $191 million issuance of Measure Q Sales Tax Revenue Bonds, Series 2011A. We served as Disclosure Counsel to SMART, which issued the Bonds using an innovative structure involving escrowed proceeds and a mandatory tender feature in order to counter a pending voter initiative seeking to repeal the Measure Q sales tax backing the Bonds.
