The National Association of Legal Secretaries installed Fulbright secretary, Helene Wood, Certified PP, PLS, TSC-RE, to its 2010-2011 board during its annual conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A senior legal secretary in the energy department of Fulbright’s Houston office, Wood has been a NALS member since 1992 and a life member since 2002. She is also a member of her local chapter, Houston Association of Legal Professionals, and the state chapter, Texas Association of Legal Professionals.

In 1993, Wood received her advanced legal professional certification, then her Professional Paralegal certification at the inaugural testing. To sustain her certifications, Wood has continued her legal education over the course of the years. She has also held numerous NALS offices and chairmanships at the local, state and national levels, including the positions of Chair and Functional Director of the NALS Certifying Board. In 2002, Wood won the NALS Award for Excellence, the most prestigious award given by NALS.
