The World Arbitration & Mediation Review (WAMR), edited by the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, opened its current publishing year with a two-volume issue dedicated to noted Mexican international arbitration practitioner José María Abascal, former UNCITRAL Working Group.
Fulbright's Mark Baker and Efrén Olivares contributed an article on ad hoc arbitration, and Aníbal Sabater one on cultural conflicts in arbitration. Sabater also served as a member of the tribute's editorial committee, along with Luis Enrique Graham, Prof. Pilar Perales, and Leah Harhay.
Almost 30 international arbitration practitioners submitted contributions to the tribute, writing on a variety of topics such as the UNCITRAL Rules and Model Law; international arbitration in Mexico and Spain; equity in international dispute resolution, and investment arbitration.
