Mike Conlon retired as partner on January 1, 2012 and now advises the firm on special projects. Mike was Co-Partner-in-Charge of the firm'sHouston office from 2001 to 2007 and Partner-in-Charge from 2007 to 2011, Partner-in-Charge of its Washington office from 1992 to 1998 and Co-Head of the Corporations, Banking and Business Practice from 2005 to 2011. Mike started with the firm in 1971.
His general corporate practice primarily involved the representation of publicly held corporations in matters involving securities offerings and routine reporting, disclosure issues, corporate governance, mergers, secured and unsecured borrowing, acquisitions and dispositions. Mike's practice regularly included businesses involved in energy, manufacturing and retail. He has represented special committees of boards of directors in connection with takeover offers and corporate restructurings.
Mike's borrowing transactions included multicreditor workouts, long-term loans with institutional lenders, secured loans and off-balance sheet financing.

- Legal advisor to businesses related to retail, refining, land drilling, energy services, steel and aluminum production, home building products and media
